Our role play area is now a castle. We are having so much fun acting out different fairy tales such as Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Jack and the Beanstalk and much more. We have even been creating our own stories with knights, thieves, fairies, queens and witches. Our knights have been hard at work protecting the princesses from wicked witches and protecting the castle from thieves who try to steal the golden eggs. We have also been learning about the different features of castles such as moats, drawbridges, turrets, dungeons and ramparts. Some of the children even painted a portcullis to help protect the castle from enemies. We have also had a coronation. We want to say a big THANK YOU to Paula, Adrian and Tony in Connaught Packaging for all of the cardboard. Thank you also to the many parents who have allowed children to bring costumes to school. It has made the world of difference.
