Another busy week (and another party) in Junior Infants

We’ve been hard at work this week in Junior Infants.

- We drew story maps and read/made CVC words in literacy. We also read some wonderful stories, including Stick Man and After The Fall.

- In maths we worked on positional language, found the set with the most objects and continued our number work.

- In SESE we learned about igloos and polar bears. We worked together to make igloos and we drew polar bears using chalk.

- We had loads of fun using marbling inks in art.

On Thursday we got a lovely letter and gift in the post from Garry Hynes thanking us for taking part in the DruidGregory programme.

Also on Thursday we had a really special party! We celebrated the birthdays of ALL the children whose birthdays occurred this term. As many children were unable to have a party with their friends we decided we would all celebrate together.  We will do  this again in the spring and summer terms.

On Friday we wore Santa hats and decorated our Christmas tree.
