We had a fabulous day today!
We started the day in our outdoor classroom where we read a story and worked together to write a welcome letter to our fairies. Next we moved into the infant yard where we drew pictures for the fairies and played Silent Cars. After that we invited Ms. Murphy to open our new fairy garden. Then it was time to explore and have fun in the new area.
All our running around in the morning meant we reached India on our Road to Tokyo challenge so we went inside to complete the newest challenge. Using chopsticks (or in our case bamboo dowels) we collected pom-poms. The team with the most pom-poms won!
After break we enjoyed a hurling session on the astro. Lucy joined us in the outdoor classroom for our ukulele lesson after lunch. Finally we finished the day in the infant yard with some games.
We planted runner beans, french beans, calendula and some gladiolus a few weeks ago. We’ve been watering them and watching them grow. Today we were able to take home a plant each.
