https://www.phonicsplay.co.uk/ This is a lovely website that we use in school. You can now access all resources with the Username: march20 and Password: home. The children love the Breakfast on Pluto game (Junior Infants should select Phase 4 as we have not covered all Phase 5 sounds, Seniors can select Phase 5)

Reading:

Click on this link to access the Rainbow programme we use in school.
Then under 'All Resources' click 'Junior Infants' or 'Senior Infants', 'English' and 'Rainbow-Stage 1'. Juniors can then view the book 'New Friends'. Please read pages 2-6 this week. Note the following words are new to the children: Emma, Luke, friends.
Seniors can view the book 'Pip and Rags'. Please read up to page 18 this week.

If you wish to access extra reading books:

Oxford Owl has an e-book library with free access to parents once you create an account at www.oxfordowl.co.uk They also have some vocab and comprehension activities for some books.
Please note: The website can be a bit tricky to navigate. When you’ve created an account click this link  https://www.oxfordowl.co.uk/for-home/find-a-book/library-page/ then click Levels, then Oxford Level 1+. This is the perfect level to start for Junior Infants.
Seniors can choose a level similar to your Literacy Lift Off books.

An interactive matching game for Junior Infants.:

https://www.vooks.com/  This is a fabulous website with free access for a month. I recommend you watch the following stories this week:

Tuesday - Couragous People Who Changed the World (a really interesting book with lots of opportunities for further learning)
Wednesday -  Bear Snores On (we’ve read this in school and the children loved it!)
Thursday - But First We Nap
Friday - Stick and Stone (A story about being kind. Can your child recognise the rhyming words in this story?)
