Literacy
Below are some websites, ideas and resources for literacy activities this week.

This is a lovely website that we use in school. You can now access all
resources with the Username: march20 and Password: home. The children love the
Breakfast on Pluto game (Junior Infants should select Phase 4 as we have not covered all Phase 5 sounds, Seniors can select Phase 5)
Reading:
Click on this link to access the Rainbow programme we use in school.
Then under 'All Resources' click 'Junior Infants' or 'Senior Infants', 'English' and 'Rainbow-Stage 1'. Juniors can then view the book 'New Friends'. Please read pages 2-6 this week. Note the following words are new to the children: Emma, Luke, friends.
Seniors can view the book 'Pip and Rags'. Please read up to page 18 this week.

Oxford Owl has an e-book library with free access to parents
once you create an account at www.oxfordowl.co.uk
They also have some vocab and comprehension activities for some books.

level to start for Junior Infants.

Monday - Giraffes Can’t Dance
Tuesday - Couragous People Who Changed the World (a really interesting book with
lots of opportunities for further learning)
Wednesday - Bear Snores On (we’ve read this in school and
the children loved it!)
Thursday - But First We Nap
Friday - Stick and Stone (A
story about being kind. Can your child recognise the rhyming words in this
story?)
Gaeilge:
If you wish to do a little bit of Gaeilge you can download our Bua na Cainte programme at www.edco.ie/bua. The Username and Password is trial. Our topic is 'Éadaí' and there are stories, games and songs available to view.

I'm sure you'll all be outside enjoying the nice weather while it lasts. If, however you're stuck inside have a look at Cosmic Kids Yoga or The Body Coach PE with Joe on Youtube.
