Last week was all about working together and as you can see from the photos below the children in Junior Infants are experts at this.
In literacy lessons we worked on recognising different sounds in the environment. We also read a great book called I Say Ohh, You Say Ahh!
In maths we have been sorting objects into different sets and we also started learning about 3D shapes- we started with cubes and went on a cube hunt around the classroom.
In PE we started yoga. We will learn a few new moves every week. We also danced a lot this week. Scroll to the bottom of this post for some videos of the dances we're learning.
In SPHE we talked about all the things that make us unique and sang a song called 'Good to be me'.
In art we drew autumn trees and used mirrors to draw self portraits. On Friday we had lots of fun painting lots of wonderful colourful pictures. If you have not already sent in an oversized t-shirt for art please do so when you get a chance. We used bin bags this week and the children couldn't believe Caroline and Ms. Fahy used to wear them as Halloween costumes!
We even finished the week with a performance of Rolaí Polaí for the whole school during our online assembly.
