Last week we celebrated Roald Dahl's birthday by learning some facts about the author and reading The Enormous Crocodile. Afterwards we tore up paper and stuck the pieces to our very own enormous crocodile.
In English lessons we have been working on sequencing stories and recognising rhyming words.
In maths we are sorting objects, learning 3D shapes (so far we've done cube, cone and cylinder) and counting to 5.
In Gaeilge lessons our theme is Mé Féin so we are learning how to introduce ourselves (Is mise .....) and learning some songs. We're really enjoying the songs and games in Irish lessons.
In religion we have been working on learning each other's names. If your child is named after anyone special or if there is a particular reason you chose your child's name please tell them so they can share it with the class.
In SPHE we have been talking about our talents and we made a classroom display so that people will learn all about us.
In art we've had a busy week- we drew Owl Babies after reading the story and decorated the yard with chalk drawings. After learning about different types of houses in Aistear we made house pictures using lollipop sticks and match sticks.
In PE we played What Time is it Mr. Wolf? and had lots of fun races.
