That’s a Wrap! - September

We can’t believe the first month in school is over. Well done to all the fantastic children on a super start to Junior Infants.

Below are some pictures of what we’ve been up to this week. We made shelters for teddy bears, had fun with our new ‘Forky’ friends and decorated Elmer pictures.

We hugged trees with Mrs. Magnier on National Tree Day (1st Oct). We also know how to find out the age of a tree - one of the tree stumps in our outdoor classroom was over 50 years old!

In English lessons we discussed the procedure for making a sandwich. Then we all made yummy sandwiches on Friday.

And in maths lessons we played lots of games to help us with our counting. We also worked on ordering numbers 1-5 and continuing patterns.

Finally we’d like to welcome Ms. McDonagh to our class. Ms. McDonagh is a student teacher and will be working with us until the end of November.
