See above for some important days this week (but of course the most important is a birthday in Junior Infants!)
*I will not be assigning pages 1-6 of the booklet this week as I want to vary activities to avoid children getting bored. However if your child enjoys them or you feel they need revision please feel free to skip the work I assign and do them instead.
Please email me if there are any questions at emerf@stoliverplunkettns.com

Monday Literacy: Today we are
going to work on visualising, this means that we picture something in our mind. I will read a poem to you tomorrow called ‘My Neighbour’s Dog is Purple’. Close
your eyes and picture the animal. Today I would like you to draw a picture in
your sketch book of what you think the poem is about. (Parents please do not
find/read the poem for your child, I just want them to draw a picture based
on the title of the poem. Thank you.) Tricky Words: New word-
here Play Tricky Words Frisbee. Write the tricky words on a paper plate
and use it as a Frisbee. Every time you catch the Frisbee you have to read a
word. Reading: Tap, Tap Gaeilge: An Aimsir, Ceacht
3. Watch the story and play the game on Seesaw. Maths: Number 5. Our number
rhyme is: Draw a line then make it fat, don’t forget to put on it’s hat! You can practise writing the number 5 in your maths book. You can make some sets of 5 with items around your house OR you can
play some of the number games at https://ie.ixl.com/math/jr-infants.
(Parents please choose any of the Count to 5 games. These are B1-B7). |
