We had a fun filled first week back in school. Everyone was very excited to see their friends on Monday so we spent the day playing, reading stories and sharing news. We did lessons on spring and road safety on Tuesday. On Wednesday we put our knowledge into practice with a walk to Templemoyle where we followed the Safe Cross Code and looked out for signs of spring. Thursday was World Book Day and everyone looked fantastic in their costumes. We ended the week with Fun Friday when we played on the astro and painted spring pictures.
During the week we also learned new sounds in phonics, started learning about money and writing number sentences in maths, learned a song and a dance for Seachtain na Gaeilge and decided that our new Aistear topic will be ‘Pirates and Princesses’.
