We had a lovely week again in Junior Infants.
We kicked it off in style with our Roald Dahl Day celebrations. The children looked fantastic in their wonderful costumes. We decorated Roly Poly birds from the book The Enormous Crocodile (photos to come next week as they're taking longer than expected). We enjoyed our lunch outside on Monday while we read a story. We also went on a golden ticket hunt in the school garden and outdoor classroom. On Monday we also did an online road safety lesson with the RSA.
On Wednesday we started station teaching. The children are working so well in their groups and are getting used to moving around the classroom when they change stations.
We've been learning about Autumn this week. We've read lots of books, learned some songs and today we painted lots of oak leaves and acorns. We also did another wonderful music lesson with Lucy from Music Generation.
We'd also like to say a huge THANK YOU to our wonderful Parents Association who made amazing sand boxes for the infant yard. We've been having lots of fun playing with them all week.
