Aistear- Dinosaurs
We have some dinosaur experts in our class that I'm sure could teach us all a few facts. Share them on Seesaw and I'll gather them together to share with everyone.

If you don't know much about dinosaurs here's some interesting information to get you started.
https://www.twinkl.ie/resource/t-t-29319-what-is-a-dinosaur-powerpoint

Do you have any dinosaur toys? Do you know what type of dinosaur they are? Have a look at the pictures here and see if you can identify them.
https://www.twinkl.ie/resource/t-sc-286-dinosaur-fact-cards

What do you think the world looked like in prehistoric times? What do you think dinosaurs needed to survive?
Get some paper and some toy dinosaurs and draw a dinosaur world.
Parents please note: If your child is not interested in dinosaurs they can use any small world toys e.g unicorns, zoo animals, etc to form a world. This is a nice activity for them to develop fine motor skills and be creative.

Bees are found on every continent in the world, except Antarctica.
There are 99 different types of bees in Ireland.

Here's some information about bees.

These videos tell you about bees in Ireland, why they're in trouble and how we can help:

Bees are very important because they help to pollinate flowers and fruits which is how these plants can bloom and more can grow.
Bees need flowers to survive because they eat nectar and pollen in flowers.

We can help bees by:
- letting wildflowers and weeds grow in our garden (even just in one small part of it)
-not disturbing hibernating bees
-telling our friends and families how important bees are

Here are some plants that have lots of nectar and/or pollen for bees. Do you have any of these flowers in your garden?

Can you make a poster/picture to show people how they can help bees?
